      Star Athlete Weds Miss Lalah Cherry at Tarboro, N.C.

      Olin PERRITT, star baseball player and soldier, was in Columbia yesterday on his honeymoon. The famous athlete and Miss Lalah Cherry were married Thursday at the home of the bride in Tarboro, N.C.

      Olin Perritt was one of the best baseball players who ever appeared at the University of South Carolina and after leaving college played great ball in the North Carolina and South Atlantic Leagues.

      He served with the One Hundred and Fourteenth Machine Gun Batallion of the Thirtieth Division, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant before the war was over. He was wounded while fighting with Company D (Columbia Machine Gun Company) in France.

      Mr. PERRITT is now representing the Plugit Automobile Tire Company with headquarters in Florence.
