    • The Marion Star, Wed. June 24, 1936: Snipes Mrs. Ola Snipes, 42, wife of Walter Snipes, of this city, died suddenly at her home Friday night. Mrs. Snipes had been ill for some time, but had been able to be up and about the house, and Friday night, while eating supper, she suffered a heart attack and died before physicians reached her. Deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Dorsey Ailene, Beulah, O. L., Clara, Edward, David, Retha, and Catherine Snipes, all of Marion. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Davis, and was born in Horry County. Funeral services, in charge of the Rev. E. L. McCoy, pastor of the First Methodist Church, of Marion, were conducted at the grave in Rose Hill Cemetery, Saturday afternoon at 4:30. On the next column is the Card of Thanks from Mr. W. P. Snipes:
